They simply collect data from various sources and they put it on their website. Yes, they do little promotion. They get millions of backlinks simply doing this.

7. Check for Nofollow, Dofollow links 

"Links are how search engine bots see relationships between websites" Rite. 

Generally, there are two types of links. One id No-follow and the other is Do-follow. 

We all know What is Do-Follow links. Rite. if not, don't worry. We both are here to learn something. 

We generally create links and by default we give DO-Follow. Which means we are directing the reader to check that particular site. This process drives the traffic to that particular page. 

In Contrary No-Follow links are similar to DO-Follow links, but this is not considered as traffic drivers. 

Let me explain. 

You create a Link and You select the No-Follow option, this will help the reader to navigate to that particular page. But Google won't consider it as a ranking measure.
